While intended to guide sustainable finance, the taxonomy remains binary and complex to apply. PI advocates for a graded approach reflecting real impact contributions rather than pass\/fail classifications.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Binary eligibility replaced with impact-based scoring in PI\u2019s model.<\/li>\n<li>Improved clarity on \u201cDo No Significant Harm\u201d (DNSH) criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Application challenges persist for SMEs and service sectors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"materiality\">\n<h2>Materiality Clarified \u2014 Avoiding the Chicken-and-Egg Problem<\/h2>\n<p>Materiality assessments often start with stakeholder opinions instead of factual impact data. Our approach reverses this logic: start with measured or evidenced impacts, then validate with stakeholders. This ensures completeness and credibility.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Step 1 \u2014 Identify and quantify real impacts.<\/li>\n<li>Step 2 \u2014 Map related financial effects, risks, and opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Step 3 \u2014 Use stakeholder dialogue to prioritize, not define, topics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This method avoids circular reasoning and supports defensible double materiality.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"frameworks\">\n<h2>PI Frameworks in Action<\/h2>\n<p>Organizations are piloting our Impact Accounting, Value &amp; Risk, and Strategy Frameworks to align sustainability data with decision-making.
